Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G.B Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on Thursday, March 11, 2021 Rex Whalen of Caplin Cove, aged 70 years. Predeceased by his parents Allan & Elizabeth Whalen; brothers Lawrence, Eldon (Polly), Walter; sisters Minnie Squires (Allan), Melvie Drodge (Roy); brothers in law Ron Barrett and Gerald Barrett. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Brenda of 23 years; children Kerry Whalen (Jim Vail), Sarah Montague (Ed), Meghan Harnett, Wanda Pardy, Roger Pardy; grandchildren Madison, Rebecca, Ryah, Donnelly, Zoe, Tyler, Melody; siblings Maxwell (Marilyn), Ivy Barrett, Eva Barrett, Evelyn Avery (Aiden Nugent); sisters in law Bernice and Annie; special nephew Jim Whalen (Lillian) and a large circle of family and friends. In keeping with his wishes cremation will take place with a private cemetery service.
