These professional drivers put themselves in higher risk situations and face many challenges to ensure we can enjoy all necessities including food, goods, medications, fuel, etc. They leave their families at home to supply the needs of your family! So thank-you truckers! Thank-you for keeping our country moving!
Teamsters has a long and rich history which originally began in the transportation industry. Our Union has represented a vast majority of truck drivers in North America for over 100 years now, and quite often people ask how they can show their appreciation to our highway heroes. Here are a few tips:
- Be courteous on the road and follow the safety regulations. Leave plenty of space and don’t cut them off!
- Say “thank-you”. Post your thanks on social media platforms #ThankATrucker
- If you have a CB radio, give them a special shout-out
- Buy them a coffee, if you wish
- Honk and wave!
