Dear UPS Teamster Sisters and Brothers,
On August 18, 2020, Teamsters Canada provided an update on the status of UPS Negotiations (#5 – see copy below) and informed you “As we have been unable to secure an offer at this time, it is the decision of the negotiating committee to take a strike vote to make clear to the company the seriousness and commitment of the negotiating committee and our membership.”
Teamsters 855 has scheduled a meeting for all UPS Courier Members to attend one of the following meetings on Wednesday, August 26 at 3:00pm (Mtg #1) OR 8:00pm (Mtg #2) at the Teamsters 855 Union Hall located at 70 Mews Place, St. John’s, NL. Your President and Business Agent wish to present you with an overview of the negotiations and conduct a strike vote. We kindly ask that you make every effort to attend this important meeting and to wear a mask as per the Chief Medical Officer’s new mandatory mask regulation (effective Monday, August 24th).
In Solidarity,
Richard Gill, President/Business Manager
