Teamsters Local 855 and the Health Care Division would like to send a warm welcome to our newest members with Russell’s Ambulance Service. The talented group of EMR’s and Paramedics voted nearly 2-to-1 to have Teamsters representation. Russell’s Ambulance Service provide emergency and non-urgent transport to residents of the Stephenville area on our Province’s west coast.
Members of Russell’s Ambulance have had a long struggle to get representation including a couple of failed attempts in the past. Members expressed great joy when they were informed of the results. Their commitment and perseverance to accomplish this win truly should be admired. “I applaud the efforts of our newest members and excited to have them as our proud Teamster Sisters and Brothers” says Teamster President Richard Gill.
Teamsters Local 855 looks forward to meeting with its newest members and starting the process of getting their first Collective Agreement in place!
