Hickmans’ management chose to serve notice to commence negotiations and immediately sought to significantly reduce our members’ wage package, more specifically to eliminate all wholesale commission, which amounts to between a 10% and 30% reduction in their gross yearly earnings.
The union is extremely disappointed on the employer’s position with respect to this concession.
These hard working members earnings are strictly commissioned based and such a reduction is both unwarranted and unreasonable.
